This Privacy Policy tells you what information MeteoAct LLC (“MeteoAct”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the public website at meteoact.com and its subdomains (the “Site”), and what we do with that information.

If your organization receives data products or services from MeteoAct under a written agreement, that agreement governs the data that the parties exchange under it. This Policy governs only the public Site. This Policy does not govern information processed by MeteoAct on behalf of customers under a written agreement.

We collect a small amount of information:

Server logs. Our servers record standard technical data about each request. This includes the IP address, the browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. We use this data for security and to operate the Site.

Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to measure use of the Site. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and it does not store visitors’ raw IP addresses. It processes limited technical information, including the IP address and User-Agent, to generate privacy-preserving aggregate statistics, such as page views, referral sources, device and browser information, and approximate geographic location. Email. If you send us an email, we receive the information you provide in that communication, such as your email address, your message, and any attachments. We use that information to communicate with you and respond to your request.

These currently include Amazon Web Services for hosting, Plausible Analytics for website analytics, and our email service provider for email communications. These providers process information in connection with providing their services to us. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating and securing the Site, responding to communications, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Retention periods can vary with the type of information and the purpose for which we use it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include the right to get access to it, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us at the address in Section 9. We may need to verify your identity before we fulfill a request, and some requests can be subject to exceptions under applicable law.
